Young filmmakers

Once again, the festival celebrates young filmmakers with a screening of films by filmmakers under 18. This section is not just a rendez-vous dedicated to youth, but also a privileged place for observation: here we see raw sensibilities unfold, filmic gestures still detached from codes, images that grope and venture. These films do not seek to convince with their technical mastery. Rather, they remind us that the tool - be it a cell phone or a film camera - is less important than the energy put into the act of filming.

Since its creation, the Jeunes Cinéastes section has welcomed over a hundred films, revealing up-and-coming talent and affirming the place of children and teen cinema in the experimental ecosystem. This session creates a space for intergenerational sharing, where the eyes of those who are starting out and those who are observing are linked.
