A Patriot of These Woods

A film inspired by Italo Calvino’s novel The Perched Baron. The filmmaker cast himself in the role of the protagonist, applying his “phytographic” technique. He dives into the plant world, undertaking his own journey into the surrounding trees, using his body as a metaphor for a soldier defending the trees and plants growing around him.
