Herbert Mathese

Né en 1948.
Critique de cinéma de 1970 à 1980 (Le Parapluie, Ecran, Sex Stars System, Le Film Français, Rocks, etc.), sous le nom de Paul-Hervé Mathis,
signature qu'il n'utilisera plus jamais après 1980, Mathis réalise en 1970 trois courts métrages underground dont Bathroom, signés Herbert Mathese.
Il cosigne, en 1972, chez Eric Losfeld un premier livre sur José Benazeraf, avec Anna Angel que l'on voit dans ces premiers films.
Il joue en 1976 dans Le Dernier 55, court métrage de Philippe Truffault avec Béatrice Romand, Pamela Stanford, et tient le rôle du psychanalyste qui lit son
journal dans Pourvoir de Patrice Enard à la fin des années 1970.
Mathis revient à partir de 1999 sous le nom d'Alexandre Mathis avec sept romans, et trois longs métrages indépendants, tournés en numérique
avec Pamela Stanford à partir de 2015, dont Outre Tombe (Haunted Earth), film d'anticipation dystopique d'une durée de sept heures.
