Jen Crothers

Cinéaste, artiste et conservatrice. Australienne d’origine, Jen Crothers vécut en Australie, en Irlande et en Nouvelle-Zélande avant de venir s’établir à Vancouver. Son court-métrage lauréat Butch Tits fut présenté « 44 fois, dans 36 villes, dans 12 pays répartis sur 4 continents ». (1) À titre de conservatrice et de gestionnaire d’évènements, Crothers est surtout connue pour Queer Bodies Film Night, un évènement mensuel mettant à l’honneur des courts-métrages explorant des thématiques liées au genre, à l’ethnie, à la sexualité, au corps et bien plus encore.

Jen Crothers is an artist, organizer, and frequent collaborator. Hailing from Tasmania she has lived in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and currently lives in Vancouver, Canada. Crothers is the organizer of Queer Bodies Film Night, showing quality shorts that explore issues of gender, race, sexuality, and the body. Previously, she was an organizer of the All Bodies Swim, a volunteer-run grassroots group organizing body-positive nights at a public pool. Crothers is the Secretary of the board of the Pride in Art Society, the organization that presents the Vancouver Queer Arts Festival.
