Dans ce film, je voulais en quelque sorte explorer le potentiel du tourné-monté en photographiant et en juxtaposant une fenêtre avec ce qui se trouve à l’extérieur de son cadre (le paysage). J’ai exécuté trois essais (sur des bobines de cent pieds) –chacun incorporant différents types de manipulations formelles- et j’ai alignés ces trois bobines l’une après l’autre au montage. Je voulais ainsi laisser intact l’ensemble du langage visuel suite au développement manuel de la pellicule.
In this film, I wanted to explore the potential of in-camera editing by photographing and juxtaposing the window frame and its outside landscape as visual references. I executed three attempts (using three rolls of 16mm film) and aligned them one after the other. I wanted to show the raw material exactly as captured inside the camera.
