Du noir aux marrons puis au blanc, au rouge et au jaune, la lumière de cette aube enneigée était étonnante. J’avais cette phrase de Guido Cavalcanti en tête. Je voulais la mettre en couleur. Je voulais filmer un paysage en mouvement, un paysage déplié, un paysage qui passerait dans notre cœur par le jeu de la matière fragile de la poésie picturale.

rom black to brown and then white, red and yellow, the light of this snowy dawn was astonishing. I had this phrase from Guido Cavalcanti in my head. I wanted to put it into colors. I wanted to film a landscape in movement, a landscape unfolding, a landscape that would go to our hearts through the play of fragile materialety and of pictural poetry.
